“A Night of Jazz and Touch of R&B” event hosted by the Houston Area Tougaloo Alumni Chapter.  The “A Night of Jazz” is our chapter’s signature fundraising event that focuses on raising scholarship funds to send students to college, in efforts to further their education.  It also provides an opportunity to showcase and increase the Tougaloo College brand within the Houston community.  

The event takes place every year, during the month August.  Stanley Weakley,’70 is the founder of this event, and its because of his vision and leadership that the event has grown over the years to become a huge success.  In 2017, we celebrated our silver year anniversary of 25 years hosting this event.
